Black & Green Is All The Rage

  • May 14, 2019May 27, 2019

I’m a lady that really does not like to fuss over my skin at any time.  So, I was not really all about the charcoal and Matcha green tea craze going on in skin care.  I have finally embraced both with surprise.   Balm & Fizz has a new facial made with Charcoal, Matcha Green Tea, Honey, White Clay, and Essential oils.  On a rainy day, my daughter and I decided to do a girl’s day.  I was just plain surprised by how smooth my face felt and how the bags under my eyes were cut in half, almost disappeared.   They stayed that way for about 3 days.  I am hooked on Black & Green.  I have tried so many products over the years to reduce the bags under my eyes and nothing else has ever worked.  I am not sure everyone will experience the same results but hey it’s worth a try.   In this blog, I want to look at what makes the Black & Green so amazing for your skin.

Black aka Charcoal may be terrible to breathe into your lungs, but it does amazing things for your skin.   Activated charcoal is a gentle exfoliant that may help lighten skin.  It also brings out bacteria, chemicals, and dirt from the surface of your skin.  Charcoal can be further enhanced by using essential oils that help to unclog your pores such as Tea Tree, Lavender, Rosemary, etc.  For a deeper exfoliation, you can combine the charcoal with raw sugars or bentonite clay.   All the products you choose to make your charcoal be your skin’s friend will be dependent on if your skin is dry, normal or oily.

Green aka Matcha Green Tea smell like very green grass and taste something like that to me also.  For those of you that can drink it my hat goes off to you.  However, I will stick to the great properties it offers my skin and body.  Matcha green tea is used to detoxification, antioxidant and relieves stress.    When combined with Epson salt in a soak it can give your body a jolt of energy, so it should be used in the morning, not as a bedtime wind down.  It is also believed to have anti-aging properties to help your skin radiate.  I love the way it mays my skin feels when it is added to spa treatments.  I am not sure I will ever learn to drink the tea, but I will use it on my skin regular from now on.

Balm & Fizz looks forward to offering you a chance to try out these wonders of nature.  We are hoping to have products for spa home treatments available on our website by midsummer.  We are currently offering the facial and plan to add a body scrub and wrap for our client’s relaxation.  Check our website out at balmfizz.com
