Millennial’s Have Taken Facials To New Heights
Skincare has come a long way from being for beauty Divas in the 50’s to being unisex to keep your skin in top condition. Facials are performed by estheticians, a massage therapist in some states (Texas and others), and at home making them a household activity. We are going to discuss five types of facials in this blog. I have never had several of them but plan on trying them in the near future. Let’s just slide into the topic without much chit-chat.
Let’s start with the facial we all know about and that would be a face facial. These can include many different types of steps. A basic facial that a massage therapist can offer or you can do at home involves five steps. Steps are as follows cleansing of the facial skin, exfoliant the facial skin, mask applied and left on the face for 10-15 minutes, toner applied and lastly moisturizing cream with a facial massage. An esthetician is allowed to do steaming, chemical peels and extractions during the facial process. Depending on the type of facial mask you choose it will help with dry, normal or oily skin. A client should make sure to discuss with the person doing the facial their type of skin to ensure a correct facial. Facials can help reduce puffiness, firm up your skin, open and clean out pores, the toner will reduce the size of your pores, and generally just relax you.
The next four facial both amused and caught my interest in different ways. Starting with Bikini Facial is just what it sounds like a facial of the vulva area 2-3 weeks after getting a bikini wax. They can be done on both sexes that receive a wax. This is not a sexual in any form. They need to be performed by an esthetician since it does involve steam, antibacterial wipe, exfoliant, hot towels, removal of ingrown hairs, a mask usually of peppermint and moisturizer of the area. These treatments should only be done 1-2 times a year. After you receive this treatment you will need to avoid saunas, tanning beds, sex and scented products for 24 hours. If you have a lot of issues with ingrown hairs after waxing I highly recommend finding someone that offers this service. Usually, last about 20 minutes and cost around $50 plus tip.
Every woman will want to run out and book a Breast Facial to keep the skin soft, reduce stretch marks and help with firming up the breast tissue. This facial can be performed by both massage therapist and esthetician depending on if you wish to have a peel or extractions done you will need to choose an esthetician. This will last about 30 minutes and cost around $85 plus tip.
A Back Facial is a great thing for people that have either ingrown hairs or acme on their backs. It takes about 30 minutes and will help with reducing acme, opening and cleansing the pores on your back. The cost is around $125 plus tip.
The last facial we will touch on is the Butt Facial that like all the previous facials are used to deal with acne, ingrown hair and firm the butt. This facial is done on the glutes and backs of legs for about 30 minutes and will cost around $130 plus tip.
Facials are used to focus on a certain part of your skin in micro detail to make it healthier. Balm & Fizz does offer all the above facials except the Bikini Facial. We hand mix each facial mask for each client with natural ingredients that are free of chemicals and preservatives. I am not an esthetician so I do not offer peels, steams or extractions. With all these facial you cannot receive them with you have sores, rash, infectious disease, sunburn, or open cuts this is both for yours and the therapist safety. Book your facial today to feel amazing and younger.
